We consolidate our international growth through two new projects

New photovoltaic projects worth 10 MM USD in Chile

After several months of hard work and dedication by the entire IM2 team, we can finally announce the signing of 2 new photovoltaic parks in Chile, in which we will be carrying out the engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of both projects.

The solar parks will be located in the Metropolitan Region of Chile just 40 km from its capital Santiago and will be developed under PMGD scheme (Small Medium Distributed Generators). They will have an installed capacity of 3 MW each and will entail great energy savings and numerous benefits for the environment.

The implementation of both parks will mean:

  • A saving of 1,633,611 liters of oil per year
  • Avoid the emission of 7,625 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere
  • The equivalence to 381,250 planted trees
  • The consumption of 4,710 households

We can also announce that we have already started the development of both projects and that they will be composed of 11,200 photovoltaic modules installed on solar trackers. This kind of system will produce a remarkable maximization of energy production.

We have our own presence in the country for more than 5 years now through our subsidiary located in Santiago. During this time we have developed so many different projects in the area such as the “Sol y Luna” projects on Coquimbo‘s region finished on 2015 making a total of 6.8 MWp.
